This AR-15 style rifle - the same type made infamous by the many mass shootings in America - has been made non-functional.

I originally conceived of this work as a sculpture soon after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting.

I was inspired by Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd's sculpture "Non Violence." Reuterswärd said that his grief at the murders of John Lennon and Bob Crane inspired him to design this artwork.
